The Journal of Sustainability Education (JSE) serves as a forum for academics and practitioners to share, critique, and promote research, practices, and initiatives that foster the integration of economic, ecological, and social-cultural dimensions of sustainability within formal and non-formal educational contexts.
Wendy Church, PhD, is the Executive Director of Facing the Future, a national sustainability educational organization based in Seattle. She is a co-author of 2 textbooks, "It's All Connected: A Comprehensive Guide to Global Issues and Sustainable Solutions" and "Global Issues and Sustainable Solutions: Population, Poverty, Consumption, Conflict and the Environment". She is a project co-director for the Sustainability Education for New Teachers Project, funded by a grant from The Russell Family Foundation. Wendy holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master of Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a PhD in Bioresource Engineering from Oregon State University, where her research involved analyzing and finding solutions to stream and bay water pollution problems.
