Jan DeWaters is an assistant professor in the Wallace Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. She teaches introductory courses in engineering-technology-and society, energy issues and energy systems, and is interested in energy education and effective teaching practices. MORE
R. Justin Hougham is assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin- Extension and Director of Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center where he supports the delivery of a wide range of science education topics to K-12 students, graduate students, and in-service teachers. Justin’s scholarship is in the areas of place-based pedagogies, STEM education, and education for sustainability.

Clare Hintz is the editor in chief of the Journal of Sustainability Education. Clare has a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education with a focus on Regenerative Agriculture. She has been teaching sustainable agriculture and permaculture since 1998, and has additionally developed curricula for the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, University of Minnesota, Duluth, Northland College, and Prescott College. She is a permaculture consultant in the Midwest, U.S. Her research focuses on arts-informed inquiry, regenerative agriculture, place, and ecofeminism. Larry Frolich is faculty in Natural Sciences at Miami Dade College's Downtown Wolfson Campus.
