About the Authors
has over 15 years of experience in education across public and private school systems, nationally and internationally, and has served in a variety of roles. She holds an MA in Environmental Studies from Prescott College. MORE

teaches Environmental Studies at the University of North Carolina Asheville and is a graduate mentor in Environmental Studies at Prescott College. She has taught in numerous settings, including K-12 schools, at the university level, and in informal science institutions including the Bronx Zoo, where she ran teacher workshops. Alison is a human ecologist with 25 years of experience working with people and protected areas, environmental education, and sacred natural sites. MORE
